General
Is Nempra Software affiliated with WooCommerce or Automattic?
No. Nempra Measure and Nempra Print are independent plugins built for the WooCommerce platform, not by the company behind it. “WooCommerce” is a trademark of Automattic; Nempra Software has no official affiliation.
Who builds and supports these plugins?
Nempra Software — a small, independent line of WooCommerce plugins. Each one starts as a genuinely useful free Lite edition, with an optional Pro upgrade for stores that need more automation. Support goes straight to the person who wrote the code, at hello@nempra.com.
What’s the real difference between Lite and Pro?
Lite isn’t a crippled trial — it’s the real calculator or the real packing-slip printing, usable for free, forever, with no site limit. Pro adds the automation that matters once volume grows: for Measure, that’s variable products and per-variation pricing rules; for Print, that’s bulk actions, CSV export, workflow tracking and the browser-based Print Station. See the Getting Started guide for a full walkthrough of each.
Do I need both plugins, or can I use just one?
Just one is fine. Nempra Measure and Nempra Print solve two separate problems — pricing by measurement, and printing/tracking orders — and neither depends on the other. Install whichever matches what your store actually needs.
Pricing & licensing
How does per-site licensing work?
A Pro license is planned to cover a fixed number of WordPress/WooCommerce installs (1, 5 or 25 sites). “Site” means one live install; staging or local copies of the same store won’t count against the limit. It’s intended to be an annual license, renewed yearly. Email hello@nempra.com for current pricing.
What’s “founding customer” pricing?
Roughly 30% off the first year, for customers who sign up while Nempra Measure and Print are still early. That discount is locked in for your first year once Pro checkout opens — it isn’t a limited-time flash sale that disappears if you’re not fast.
Can I try Pro before paying?
Pro checkout isn’t live yet, so there’s no trial today. Lite is free forever with no feature countdown, so you can fully evaluate the core calculator or printing workflow before Pro launches. Email hello@nempra.com and you’ll be notified — and honored founding pricing — the day checkout opens.
What if I need a refund?
A full refund policy will be published before Pro checkout goes live. Until then, if something isn’t working as expected, email hello@nempra.com and it’ll be sorted out directly — no ticket queue, no waiting on a policy page.
Technical & compatibility
Why don’t I need PrintNode for automatic printing?
Print Station (a Nempra Print Pro feature) runs in a Chrome tab on any always-on computer you already have. With Chrome’s kiosk-printing mode enabled, that tab polls the print queue and sends new packing slips straight to the computer’s own default printer — no confirmation dialog, no cloud print broker subscription sitting between your store and the printer.
Which WordPress and WooCommerce versions are supported?
Both plugins require WordPress 6.5 or later and PHP 7.4 or later, and need WooCommerce active to run at all. They’re updated as new WordPress versions ship.
I’m migrating from another measurement or printing plugin — is that safe?
In many cases, yes. Nempra Measure and Nempra Print are built to detect a previous measurement or manual-printing plugin on the same site and read its existing settings and product data as a starting point — nothing is deleted. Deactivate the old plugin before activating the matching Nempra plugin; they’re built not to run side by side on the same order or product. If you’re not sure whether your specific setup is supported, email hello@nempra.com and we’ll confirm before you switch. General steps are on the Troubleshooting page.
Will my settings carry over if I upgrade from Lite to Pro?
Yes. Pro is a separate plugin that reads the same settings and product data as Lite, so upgrading is a drop-in replacement — no reconfiguration, no re-entering your packing-slip layout or measurement rules.
Can I run Lite and Pro of the same plugin at the same time?
No — only one edition of each plugin should be active at once. Lite and Pro share the same underlying code, so running both together will cause a PHP fatal error rather than extra features. Deactivate one before activating the other; your settings are preserved either way.
